SPORTS RESULTS
24th & 30th MARCH 2011
Level 3 National Gala (18-22 March in Durban)
Erin Graham & Robyn Charter took part in this as members of Aquabear swimming club – the club finished 6th out of 64 clubs.
Robyn made the final of 100m back (15-18 year age group). Came 4th in the 100m free and also achieved new personal best time of 59.8sec and she became the 1st EP woman to break the 1min for 100m free. Robyn also tied the EP record in 50m free with a time of 27.56sec.
Erin came 4th in the 100m free and during the gala she also dropped her time to 1.8min (personal best). Erin also dropped her time in the 50m backstroke to 31.69 and finished in 4th place.
Robyn and Erin, along with Tammy Price and Michaela Barnes, won the women’s 4 x 50m free relay. All 4 swimmers swam under 28sec. This is the 1st time in about 30 years that EP has won a relay at a major National event!

Quadrangular Tennis (Sunday 20 March in Graaff-Reinet)
The tennis team played in the Settlers Cup Quadrangular in Graaff-Reinet where a young side ended 3rd out of the four teams participating.
Netball – Framesby Tournament on Saturday 26 March
The 1st team netball did exceptionally well at the Framesby tournament where they won their 3 pool matches as well as the final in the C-League. Well done to the netball team!
Horse riding - Port Elizabeth show - Schools qualifier number 2.
Bridget Ford and Amy Frost attended this show and together they added another 869 points to the DSG tally
Show Jumping: 2-PHASE 90cm
Amy Frost achieved 2nd place and Bridget Ford finished in 4th place
Show Jumping: 90cm
Bridget finished 3rd and Amy 4th.
Bridget also achieved 2nd place in Working Hunter 90cm and 5th places in the equitation and dressage.
The logistics involved in attending an "away" show are fairly daunting and these girls should be commended for their commitment and perseverance.
