Albany Tennis Champs

 

Amy Mills won the u10 singles and doubles

Alice Godlonton won the u12 singles and also made the final of the doubles with Willow Gainsford Natalie Rogers made the u14 quarter finals while still in Grade 7. This achievement saw her ranked 7th in the u14 Albany ladder.

 

Alice and Amy are number 1 in their respective age groups

Willow is ranked number 7 in the 12 age group.

 

The top six in each age group (except for u10) will be playing a team from Midlands next Thursday. Alice is the only DSG girl currently in the top six of one of the squads, which sees her play in the u12 match to take place at the Albany Club all day Thursday, 17 February.

Graeme relay gala

 

The girls competing in all 3 relay events, freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. The girls won nearly all of their races and more often than not were even able to beat the St Andrews’ Preppies to the finish line, with the final race of the day, the u13 freestyle, seeing out girls beat the Preppies by just 0.8 seconds. With such a resounding success it goes without saying that DSG won the girls section of the gala by a large margin.
