DSG SPORT
All girls are required to take part in sport which is seen as an integral part of the school programme. Swimming, tennis, athletics, squash and hockey are popular activities and pupils may also elect to participate in horse riding. Teams compete widely and there are tours during holiday periods. The school is represented at provincial and national level.
Although the DSG is primarily a boarding school, approximately 160 of the 350 pupils come from the surrounding area and live at home. Every effort is made to encourage girls to become fully involved in extracurricula activities, and most pupils spend the better part of each day at the school.
